Smoke Test Surveys Sent!

Keep an eye out for BackerKit emails! A Smoke Test survey batch has been sent out. This means that 5% of you will receive your survey first, and it's your job to make sure everything flows smoothly. If there are any problems whatsoever, you can contact BackerKit or myself and we'll sort it out for you. 

The purpose of a smoke test is to make sure there aren't any issues with the survey and that way we can catch any problems before they're sent out to the majority. There shouldn't be any problems, but it's just out way of being safe so we can smooth out any survey issues if there are any.

If you didn't receive a survey, don't fret! Should things go smoothly, you'll get your survey tomorrow morning. 

How does BackerKit work? You'll be taken through the survey process and be able to select your rewards. After that, you'll be taken to the add on store. If you added on the right amount to your kickstarter pledge, it'll transfer over as store credit and you'll be able to choose your add ons. The store includes items from my previous kickstarter and then a few enamel pins from my personal shop, which you'll be able to purchase and add on to your order. If you didn't add on the money in your pledge, or if your pledge was dropped and you decide to, you can checkout with BackerKit.

We did it!

Hurray! Our campaign was far more successful than I could have ever anticipated. I'm humbled and honored and thank you all for your support! We were 5000% funded, which is absolutely phenomenal and I couldn't have done it without you all. 

So what happens now?

Kickstarter gives two week window to process pledges. During this time, I prepare BackerKit surveys and prepare my files to send to the manufacturer. I'm planning on having BackerKit ready to send out around the 15th-16th. If you have any questions on how BackerKit works, don't hesitate to send me a message!

Originally, I'd anticipated producing approximately 1500 pins and 500 bookmarks, and as of right now we're looking at a production of about 10,000 pins and 2,500 bookmarks. Because of this, there's a possibility that production could be delayed. I'm crossing my fingers that we remain on schedule and I'll do everything in my power to keep it that way, but I want to keep everyone updated and in the know. 

Funds for production will come in around the 20th from Kickstarter and I plan on having the pin order and the bookmarks all ready to go so that all I have to do is pay the invoices when it comes in so we can smoothly move to the next stage. Once pins are in shipment to me, I'll start getting prep work ready. This means ordering and preparing shipping supplies, backing cards, etc. and begin printing shipping labels a day or two before, so that I can immediately start shipping the day they come in.

Variant Inverted Color Pin Reveal!

Hello all! With just three days left in our campaign, I've finally managed to put together all the files for the variant pins. This includes 18 new white/black inverted variant pins and will be filled with glitter enamel. Originally I was going to have these set as a stretch goal for $30,000, but we hit that goal before I could finish putting together all of the files and then surpassed it! Hurray, it's automatically unlocked! :) 

As I said in the previous post, the complete collection will not include the variant colors and I deeply, sincerely apologize for this. I had never expected to unlock so many pins and at the prices I've set, you would be paying less than I'm paying for the manufacturing price and I would lose several thousand dollars just in manufacturing fees. 

I've been discussing it with other backers as some have voiced their concerns over it, and what I can do to make it fair. After much thought and consideration, I've decided to go ahead with the variant designs and they'll be available to choose as rewards as well as add ons. 

A new reward tier has been added that includes all 25 pins + all 18 variant colors. It's only $60 more than the complete tier, which is a crazy low price of $3.33 per variant pin, so you're basically just paying for the manufacturing price. The complete set of variant pins will also be available as an add on for the same price. 

Without further ado, here are the variants below! A total of 16 standard designs + 2 chained pins!

Final Stretch Goal Vote + Feature!

So, I wanted to give you guys the option to select what the final stretch goal will be. Previously, a color variation was a popular vote, however with the way the pins are designed to be mostly a single color, it was difficult coming up with a color variation that would work for all of them, so I decided on doing an inverted color variation. The other option is for a whole additional set of new pins, with an elemental theme. 

The ones below are examples. 

You can vote for your choice HERE and the winning vote will be the next and final stretch goal added to the campaign. We have just under a week left and it's been an amazing campaign. Thank you to all of you for your support.

Please note that should the inverted color variation be unlocked, it will not automatically be added to the Complete Collection Tier, as that would end up including an amount of pins where I would lose a significant amount of money on the reward (an estimated $3,300 out of pocket, so I swear I'm not just being stingy). Your tier will still include enough selection options to choose one of each pin design, and you will be able to choose any 25 pins you wish.

All Stretch Goals Hit + Bookmark samples!

Hurray, we did it! We've unlocked all twenty-five stretch goals that were set. The only thing left is hitting a second free gift at 500 backers, which we're also very close to. The next free gift will be a free mini-pin added to every order. You can vote for the design HERE

In the poll I took before, color variations were also a popular vote. I'm working on possible color variations now and will hold a vote to decide which ones will be unlocked next. The goal will probably be unlocked around $30,000~ 

I've also been sitting on the bookmark samples and kept meaning to upload a video or gif showing them off, but time somehow got away from me. As you can see, they gleam really beautifully in the light and my printer did a beautiful job with them. Note: Give the gifs below a moment to load :)
